Harriet Ursula (Winter) Fornwalt

WILLIAMSPORT - Harriet U. (Winter) Fornwalt, 81, died on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at her residence with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of Henry L. Fornwalt to whom she was married to on February 1, 1948 and celebrated 59 years together. Harriet was born on May 26, 1926 in Williamsport and was a daughter of the late Fred S. and C. Ursula (Yocum) Winter. She was a graduate of the Montoursville Area High School and of the Williamsport Hospital School of Nursing. She had retired in 1992 as a Registered Nurse. Harriet was an active member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Order of Eastern Star, Williamsport Chapter, church choir, Girl Scout leader for 15 years, and a volunteer for the Red Cross with the bloodmobile. She was also the former treasurer of the Nurses Alumni Association and high school class reunion committee treasurer. She enjoyed flowers and gardening. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons; Carl A. Fornwalt of Muncy, Mark A. Fornwalt of Newnan, GA and Paul A. Fornwalt of Linden, three daughters; Sharon M. Dimichele of Trout Run, Linda J. Sheats of Deland, FL and Carol L. Harvey of Williamsport, 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one brother; Elwood Winter of Sebring, FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother; David Winter. Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Harriet can be made to the Susquehanna Home Care & Hospice, 1100 Grampion Blvd., Williamsport, PA 177701. Arrangements are by the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport, PA.
