Harriet K. [Jamieson] Laudenslager

MECHANICSBURG - Harriet E. [Jamieson] Laudenslager, 86, died Sunday, May 27, 2007 at Pinnacle Health at Harrisburg Hospital. She was the wife of the late William L. Laudenslager with whom she married in Hagerstown, MD in 1937. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, June 1, 2007 at Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street, Lewisberry with Pastor Conrad Reichert officiating. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery. Viewings will be from 6-8:00 PM Thursday and 1-2:00 PM Friday at the Funeral Home. Born December 24, 1920 in Harrisburg, a son of the late James William Howard Jamieson and the late Hannah L. [Swartz] Jamieson, she attended parochial school at Seventh Day Adventist Academy in Harrisburg and public schools in Harrisburg. She was a seamstress, retiring from Harrisburg Children's Dress Co. after 35 years of service. Following her retirement she worked for Tender Loving Care Nursing Agency. Mrs. Laudenslager was a member of York Springs Seventh Day Adventist Church and was active with its choir group that visited nursing homes. She also enjoyed dress designing, sewing, cooking, crossword puzzles, and loved pampering her all of her grandchildren. Mrs. Laudenslager is survived by two daughters, Arlene J. Fisher of Mechanicsburg and Dorothy J. and Lewis Otto of Waynesboro; eight grandchildren, Diana Hollada, Tina Maslanik, Lewis Otto, III, Debra Diller, Gail Hoffman, Brenda Griffith, Sandra Fisher, and Billie-Jo Sanersri; and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a brother, Gilbert Jamieson of Florida; two sisters, Clara Gatling of Welaka, FL and Jean Edwards of Dover. She was preceded in death by a grandson, David Otto; four brothers, Ed Jamieson, Guy Jamieson, Dr. David Jamieson, John Jamieson; and three sisters, Catherine Coe, Lois Kopenheffer, and Sally Shearer. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Adra Adventist Development and Relief Agency, 12501 Old Columbia Pike, Silver Spring, MD 20904 or to York Springs Seventh Day Adventist Church, PO Box 330, York Springs, PA 17372.
