Dover—Harold W. Narber, 92, died Thursday, September 29, 2016 at York Hospital. He was the husband of F. Marguerite (McClintock) Narber to whom he was married for 72 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 AM, Monday, October 3, 2016 at Bible Baptist Church, 4190 N. Susquehanna Trail, York, with his pastor, the Rev. Bill Schutt officiating. Viewings will be held from 4-6 PM, Sunday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York and from 10-11 AM, Monday at the church. Entombment will be held in Prospect Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born January 7, 1924 in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Clayton and Marian (Berry) Narber. He retired in 1985 from Agway Petroleum where worked as a truck driver. A United States Army Veteran of World War II, he was also a member of Bible Baptist Church, enjoyed woodworking, gardening and loved traveling all over the country and North America with his wife. In addition to his wife, Mr. Narber is also survived by three sons, Gary Narber and his wife, Bonnie, Donald Narber and his wife, Lynda and Kenneth Narber and his wife, Judy; two daughters, Peggy Stough and her husband, Ronald and Nancy Yantis and her husband, Richard; 11 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to Bible Baptist Church, 4190 N. Susquehanna Trail, York, Pa 17404 or Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Rd, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
