Harold R. Mcallister

YORK- Harold R. McAllister, 94, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at York Hospital. He was the husband of M. Louise (Manifold) McAllister. The couple celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary on November 28th. A Graveside Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Round Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery in East Hopewell Township. The Reverend Allison Beaulieu will be officiating at the service. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. McAllister was born in Hopewell Township, Washington County on September 11, 1919, a son of the late Samuel G. and Edith R. M. (Hyson) McAllister. He retired in 1981 from the former T.R. Taylor Furniture Company after 16 years. Mr. McAllister was a member of First Presbyterian Church in York, where he was a member of Niles Bible Class, was formerly a member of Round Hill Presbyterian Church, was a member of Golden Age Club in Dallastown, and was a volunteer for Lutheran Social Services for over 15 years. Mr. McAllister leaves a brother, Roy T. McAllister of Thomasville and two sisters, Jean M. Doll of York and Lois M. Zellers of York.
