YORK-Harold Lewis Geesey, 93, went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on November 25, 2010 at Rest Haven. He was the loving husband of Jean R.C. (Van Etten) Garton Geesey to whom he was married for 21 years. A celebration of life service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at North Hills Bible Church, 1951 North Hills Road, York, PA, 17406, with his pastor, David E. Moss officiating. Viewings will be held 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, PA, 17408 and 10-11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Mr. Geesey was born June 14, 1917 in York a son of the late Royal E. and Gertrude (Shultz) Geesey. He was a graduate of William Penn High School. He owned and operated a poultry farm in Starview, PA and served in the maintenance department of York Suburban School District, where he was fondly known as Dave, for over 20 years. Mr. Geesey was a member of North Hills Bible Church. He was also a member of PA Public School Employees Retirement System. He enjoyed carpentry, espically building clocks; and attending to his flower garden. He was a loving husband, father, uncle and brother who cherished his family as well as his friends. Mr. Geesey is survived by two daughters, Lucy J. Grim and husband, Barry, and Holly A. Snell and husband, Barry, all of York; a step daughter, Cassandra J. Paquette and husband, Donald F. of York; two step sons, David C. Garton and wife, Kathleen of Wilkes-Barre, and Eric W. Garton and wife, Valerie J. of Wrightsville; six grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one niece; and one nephew. He was preceded in death by wife, Dorothy H. (Shenberger) Geesey, a grandson; three brothers, and two sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to North Hills Bible Church.
