Harold L. Miller

RED LION- Harold L. Miller, 88, died on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Inners Creek Nursing & Rehab, formerly Manor Care Dallastown. He was the husband of the late Edna G. (Beaverson) Miller who died on July 14, 2007. The couple had been married for 52 years.


A celebration of life tribute service will be held in the future at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with Pastor Larry Parlett officiating and full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard at the start of the service. A time of gathering will be held at Bethany House, 131 W. Broadway at the conclusion of the memorial service. Burial will be private at Windsor Cemetery.


Born on August 10, 1934 in Windsor, he was a son of the late Spurgeon H. Miller and Anna E. (Emenheiser) Caton. Harold was a milkman for Warner’s Dairy. As a milkman, he recalled milk being 28 cents a quart and a half gallon of ice cream 79 cents. He was also a warehouse worker for Associated Wholesalers and worked at PAS Small and Miller & Hartman.


Mr. Miller served our country during the Korean War. He was a member of the Hellam VFW Post 7045. Harold loved baking pies, flounder fishing, playing cards, his vegetable garden, the NY Yankees and especially enjoyed talking baseball with his grandson, Carson and watching game shows with his granddaughter, Heather.


Mr. Miller is survived by his daughter, Christine A. Yohe of Red Lion; his son, Ronald E. Miller of Nashville, TN; two grandchildren, Heather Fauth of Red Lion and Carson Miller and his wife, Catherine of Hampton, NH; and cousin, Treva Grove of Red Lion. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jesse Miller.
