RED LION - Harold E. Tyson, 70, died Thursday, October 4, 2012 at his residence. He was the husband of Linda A. (Deskin) Tyson. The couple celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary on April 29th. A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Red Lion Bible Church, 105 Springvale Rd. in Red Lion. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Tyson was born in Hellam on July 19, 1942, son of the late Sterling and Edna (Goheen) Tyson. He retired from Gichner Shelter Systems in Red Lion, and worked for Yorktowne Kitchens in Red Lion and Community Progress Council in York. Mr. Tyson was a member of Red Lion Bible Church, was an avid hunter and enjoyed camping. He previously served as a Windsor Borough Fireman and Police Officer. Along with his wife Linda, Mr. Tyson leaves a daughter, Brittany R. Berkheimer of West York; three step sons, Wade E. Schields of New York City, Korbin L. Rauhauser of Dillsburg, and Jeremy J. Rauhauser of Windsor; seven grandchildren, a great grandchild and one on the way; five brothers, Nevin, Ralph, Harry, Donald and Walter Tyson; four sisters, Linda Ness, Mary Jamison, Bonnie Winters, and Janet Pomraning. Three sisters, Pauline, Fern and Elizabeth had preceded him in death.
