Guy W. Naugle, Jr.

Felton – Guy Walter Naugle Jr., 75, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Rest Haven Rehab & Nursing. He was the husband of the late Louise Ann (Rudy) Naugle with whom he celebrated 47 years of marriage.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Steven Schmuck of Red Lion Bible Church. A viewing will be held from 9:00-11:00AM Saturday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

Born October 22, 1947 in Jersey Shore, he was a son of the late Guy Walter Naugle Sr. and Julia Ellen (Grissinger) Naugle.

He was employed as a teacher at Red Lion Area High School for 38 years until his retirement in 2007. Guy was a devoted member of the FFA Alumi—Red Lion, Red Lion Young Farmers, and York County Agricultural Teachers Association. During his FFA advisor years, he and numerous students won state and national awards. In 2006 he was honored as one of six recipients in the country by the National Association of Agricultural Educators with the Outstanding Service Citation, recognizing his significate contributions to agricultural education at the state, regional, and national level. He was also a member of the Felton Fire Company and a member of the former Temple Baptist Church of York.

Guy is survived by his three children, Ella L. Kump and husband Wayne, Walter A. Naugle and Andrew M. Naugle and wife Michelle; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three brothers, Howard, Carl and Fern Naugle; one sister, Grace Murphy and several nieces and nephews.
