Griffin Thaddeus Walker

YORK-Griffin Thaddeus Walker, a hero to all who knew him, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Hershey Medical Center, at the tender age of 4, after a courageous battle with Leukemia. A celebration of life service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with the Rev. Donald R. Belch officiating. A viewing will be held 1-3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Griffin was born, March 9, 2005, in York, a son of Justin and Joy Walker, and younger brother of Ethen Walker, 8 and Gillian Walker, 5. In addition to his parents, brother and sister, he is survived by his loving grandma, Darlene Walker and girlfriend Hailey Bailey. Griffin's story and strength touched the hearts and enriched the lives of many. He had a fantastic sense of humor, and would use his bright smile and dimples to cheer up those around him. Griffin was a kind, intelligent soul who was wise beyond his years. He had the ability to transform the people he met along his journey with his gifts of love, courage, and strength. He amazed everyone around him and proved his strength would shine through his illness, and his perseverance was admired by all. His loving memory is carried on by the family he leaves behind.
