GRANVILLE SUMMIT-Gregory W. Powers, 55, of Granville Summit, PA went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family. Greg was the loving husband of Margaret M. "Dolly" (Rosenwinkel) Powers. The couple married July 16, 1977 and had 32 wonderful years together. Family and friends are welcome to gather from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, July 2, 2010 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA, and again from 9:00-10:00 AM on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church of Troy, 121 West Main Street, Troy, PA. The funeral service to honor Greg's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 3rd at the church with Pastor William Bardo and Rev. Arthur Suggs officiating. Burial will follow the service in Glenwood Cemetery. Greg was born on March 31, 1955 in Flushing, NY son of Edward D. and Doris M. (Oshinski) Powers of Easton, MD. He was a graduate of Greenwich High School, class of 1973 and earned his degree in Business and Marketing from the University of Rhode Island in 1977. Greg was the President and Proprietor of Penn-Troy Manufacturing in Troy, PA. He was a member of the Sylvania Presbyterian Church, being active as a teaching Elder and was a member of the Gideon's. Greg's true passions in life were sailing and his family. His family includes: his parents, his wife Dolly, his children: Matthew David (Tzu-Wei Hsu) Powers of Pittsburgh, PA, Luke Daniel (Victoria Lynn) Powers of Willington, DE, Mark Joseph Powers of Granville Summit, PA, and Margaret "Maggie" Anne (Justin James) Jackson of Canton, PA, his granddaughter Margaret "Molly" Rose Jackson, his sisters and brothers: Claudia Powers of Willington, DE, Christopher (Beth) Powers of Olean, NY, Richard (Suzanne) Powers of Milwaukee, WI, Steven (Candy) Powers of Milwaukee, WI, and Donna (Tom) Ealy of San Antonio, TX, along with several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made in Greg's memory to the Sylvania Presbyterian Church P.O. Box 84 Sylvania, PA 16945 or the American Cancer Society 1948 East Third Street Williamsport, PA 17701.
