Gregory A. Groff

York—Gregory A. Groff, 21, died Friday, March 28, 2008 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. A funeral service will be held 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 W. Front St., Lewisberry, with the Rev. Michael Delp of Stillwater Christian Church, near Bloomsburg, officiating. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Monaghan Township. Greg was born July 13, 1986 in Harrisburg, a son of Kenneth P. and Debra I. (Smith) Groff of Etters. He was currently employed with Traffcon in the building and assembly department. Greg was an avid car fan and enjoyed buying and selling cars, attending car shows and especially loved muscle and classic cars. He also attended Stillwater Christian Church. In addition to his parents, Greg is also survived by three brothers, Michael P. Groff of Shickshinny, and Austin J. and Zackery J. Groff of Etters, maternal grandparents, Freeman and Ruth Smith of Strinestown, paternal grandparents, William and Darlene Kennedy of Loysville, his girlfriend, Kayla J. Knaub of York, with whom he was expecting their first child, son, Kayden Lafayette Groff in August. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial contributions be made to the Kayden Groff Fund, C/O Members 1st Bank, 350 Newberry Commons, Etters, Pa 17319.
