Grace P. (Pasterfield) Runkle

York — Grace P. (Pasterfield) Runkle, 88, died Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late LaMar I. Runkle. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 AM, Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with her pastor, the Rev Dr. Charles W. Salisbury officiating. Burial will be private in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Born October 9, 1923 in Baltimore, MD, she was a daughter of the late Joes W. and Catherine (Klaet) Pasterfield. She was employed with York Tape and Label for over 20 years in the web printing department. A member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Red Lion, she was also a member of Leo Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, State Auxiliary of PA Firemen’s Association and the Red Lion American Legion Ladies Auxiliary-Post 543. Mrs. Runkle is survived by one daughter, Jessica P. Crouse of York; one son, LeRoy A. “Chip” Runkle and his wife, Karen of South Carolina; three grandchildren, Robert L. Crouse III and his wife, Kate, Alexander J. Runkle and his wife, Jennifer and Nicholas A. Runkle and his wife, Sara; one sister, Naomi Myers of Baltimore, MD and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Roland Pasterfield, Raymond Pasterfield and Bud Pasterfield; and two sisters, Hazel Sheckells and Ruth Wells. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 45 First Ave, Red Lion, Pa 17356.
