Grace M. (Mitzel) Fletcher

YORK — Grace M. (Mitzel) Fletcher, 87, died January 16, 2015 at Manor Care — South. She was the wife of the late Ralph N. Fletcher. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 AM, Wednesday, January 21, 2015 Cross Roads United Methodist Church, 6881 Church Rd, Felton with her pastor, the Rev. Michael G. Trimmer officiating. Viewings will be held from 6-8 PM, Tuesday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion and from 10-11 AM, Wednesday at the Church. Burial will be held in Cross Roads Cemetery. Born February 22, 1927 in E. Hopewell Township, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Charlotte S. (Torbert) Mitzel. She was a 1945 graduate of Red Lion High School. She worked as a seamstress for several years and later served as a caregiver providing in home care to the elderly in Southern York County. A lifetime member of Cross Roads United Methodist Church, she also attended the Stewartstown and Catawissa Senior Centers. Grace enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting and gardening. She loved to cook and bake for family and friends and to spend time with them. She was known at Manor Care-South for smile and friendly spirit. Mrs. Fletcher is survived by two children, George N. Fletcher and wife, Linda of Catawissa and Ruth H. Dodson and husband, Victor of New Freedom; nine grandchildren, Nathan and Jason Fletcher, Amanda Beatty, Victor Jr., Diana and Michele Dodson, Jessica Gross, Joshua Fletcher and Alice Rodriguez; fifteen, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, David E. Fletcher, one sister, Ruth Dull and two brothers, George and Harold Mitzel.
