York—Grace L. (Eppley) Sourbier, 84, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Rest Haven Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Robert W. Sourbier. A funeral tribute service will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Burial will be held in Mt. Rose Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Mrs. Sourbier was born May 11, 1922 in Red Lion, a daughter of late H. Clay Eppley and Flora Ellen (Gruver) Eppley. She retired in 1984 after 25 years of employment at the York Garment Company. Before living at Rest Haven, Grace was cared for jointly by her two daughters, Nancy and Carolyn. She enjoyed number and word find puzzles; she also loved playing bingo at Rest Haven with Margaret and PJ, who would put her under the table for winning to many games. Mrs. Sourbier is survived by three daughters, Nancy L. Warner of Gettysburg, wife of the late Charles Warner, Carolyn E. Sourbier and her husband, Perry Gusic, of Mountville and Mary Bair of Spring Grove, wife of the late Ralph Bair, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mary Williams of Petersburg, VA, her family at Rest Haven who she loved so much and Emily. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Patricia A. Wunch and Bonnie J. Marrs, three sisters, Jean Barshinger, Esther Huff and Kathryn Alagood and two brothers, Kenneth and Richard Eppley. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to AseraCare Hospice, 44 Bowman Rd, York, Pa 17404 or American Lung Assoc., "Quit Smoking Program", 101 Good Dr., Lancaster, Pa 17603.
