Grace A. (Brosius) Harris

HARRISBURG - Grace A. (Brosius) Harris, 79, formerly of Milton and Mifflinburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at her home. Grace was born on August 28, 1931 in Port Treverton and was the daughter of the late Lester and Esther (Gelnett) Brosius. She had graduated from Mifflinburg High School and then the Thompson Institute. She was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kratzerville. She was married to the late James R. Harris for 17 years before his death on August 13, 1974. The sweetest, most caring person leaves her daughter and son-in-law; Laurie D. and Thomas M. Brown of Etters, one granddaughter and husband; Lea K. and Brian M. Sheffield of Etters, one grandson; 2nd Lt. Zachary A. Brown of Etters, her pride and joy great-granddaughter; Maggie Grace Sheffield and three sisters and one brother-in-law; Wilma Paulvir of Bowling Green, OH, Mildred Kepner of Watsontown and Sally and Clair Kline of Selinsgrove. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister; Anna Brosius. Family meant the world to her and she meant the world to her family. There will be a public viewing from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2011 at The Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton with the graveside service at Milton Cemetery immediately following the viewing. The Reverend Breen Marie Sipes will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice.
