Golda M. Diehl

YORK- Golda M. Diehl, 97, died Sunday April 26, 2009 at Pleasant Acres. She was a loving aunt and friend. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, with the Rev. Sue Oelrich officiating. Viewings will be held Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 10:30- 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Ms. Diehl was born April 8,1912 in Manchester, MD., a daughter of the late John and Mary (Wineholt) Diehl. Golda owned and operated her own beauty shop for more than 40 years. She also worked for Danskin Clothing in York. Golda was a member of the Lady Loyal Order of Moose in York. Ms. Diehl leaves seven nieces and nephews; several grand nieces and nephews; and many friends. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond Diehl, Sterling Diehl, and Elward Diehl; and three sisters, Myrtle Hoffman, Elsie Hoffman, and Rosa Krout.
