Gloria Jane (Hoover) Waltemeyer

Gloria Jane (Hoover) Waltemeyer, 86, died on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Country Meadows, Leaders Heights. She was the wife of the late Robert V. Waltemeyer.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023 at St. Paul’s Church of Red Lion, 45 First Ave., Red Lion with the Reverend Christopher Nauta officiating. A viewing will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion is in charge of arrangements.

Born on November 10, 1936 in York, she was a daughter of the late Clair and Annie (Sellers) Hoover. Gloria was a homemaker.

Mrs. Waltemeyer is survived by two sisters, Vivian Jamison of Yoe, PA and Helen Schurtz and her husband, Paul of York Haven, PA, two sisters-in-law, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
