Gloria J. (Baker) Gallagher

EDWARDSVILLE-Gloria J. Gallagher, 63, of Edwardsville, passed away Sunday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Wilkes-Barre on May 23, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Barbara (Schrader) Baker. She was a 1963 graduate of G.A.R. High School. Prior to retiring, she was employed as a nurse's aide by Little Flower Manor. She was also employed by American Cigar and worked in local sewing factories. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Herbert Gromel, and sister, Elizabeth Krebbs. Surviving are her sons, Herbert Gromel and Franklin Gromel, both of Edwardsville; daughters, Margaret Gromel, Harrisburg and Barbara Gromel, Parsons; 6 grandchildren; brother, Robert Baker and his wife, Denise, Ashley; sister, Donna Yencha, Plains; and her loving dog, Ebby. The funeral service will be held Wednesday evening at 8:00 p.m. at Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. The Reverend Carol E. Coleman will officiate. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
