Gloria F. Flaharty

YORK- Gloria F. (Miller) Flaharty, 87, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022 at ProMedica Nursing Home, South in York. She was the wife of the late Stewart R. Flaharty.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York. The service will be webcast live and can be viewed by searching Gloria’s obituary at HeffnerCare.com. Her pastor, The Reverend Dave Kominsky will be officiating at the service. Viewings will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday and 10- 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Flaharty was born in York on April 27, 1935, the daughter of the late Paul E. and Lillie (Brenneman) Miller. She retired from Feller’s Clothing Store.

Mrs. Flaharty was a member of Yorkshire United Methodist Church in York where she volunteered for many activities including the soup kitchen and luncheons.

She leaves two sons, Steven B. Flaharty of Dallastown and Rick L. Flaharty of York; a granddaughter, Andrea Weirich and her husband Jeff; two great grandchildren, Leah and Sabrina Weirich; and two brothers, Edward Miller of Cocoa Beach, FL and Wayne Miller and his wife Paula of Boynton Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Flaharty and a daughter-in-law, Penny.
