Gloria F. (Arnold) Ayers

York—Gloria F. (Arnold) Ayers, 82, died Thursday, August 13, 2015 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Donald L. Ayers, Sr., with whom she celebrated 59 years of marriage on February 19th. A public viewing will be held from 10-11 AM, Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be private in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born February 2, 1933 in York, she was a daughter of the late George and Helen (Paar) Arnold. She was a 1951 graduate of William Penn High School. She retired from Dentsply Inc., as a supervisor after 25 plus years of service. A member of Dentsply’s 25 year club, she also attended Christ Lutheran Church in York and enjoyed bowling, bingo, walking and spending time with family. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Ayers is also survived by one son, Donald L. Ayers, Jr., and his wife, Tammy of Manchester; one daughter, Kathy S. Bair and her husband, David of Manchester; three grandchildren, Zach, Nicole and Derek; five great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death four brothers and four sisters.
