Gloria E. Smith

RED LION- Gloria E. (Ness) Smith, 81, passed away Saturday January 17, 2009 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Bruce C. Smith. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00PM Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with her pastor Rev. Dr. Charles W. Salisbury officiating. A visitation will be held from 2-3:00PM Saturday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be private. Born on December 24, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Charles Ness and Cora (Rider) Heibeck. Mrs. Smith was a lifetime member at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Red Lion. She was also an active member of the Longstown Village Association. Mrs. Smith was survived by two daughters, Barbara S. Flook of Crownsville, MD and G. Louise Royston of Pittsford, NY; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a daughter in law, Cindy Smith of Dallastown; and a sister Barbara Jane Gingerich of York. She was preceded in death by a son David B. Smith. She will be remembered with great love.
