Gloria Dean Henshaw

RED LION – Gloria Dean (Sliver) Henshaw, 82, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Manor Care Dallastown. She was the wife of the late Harold R. Henshaw. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, April 21, 2017 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. A viewing will be held from 9-10:00 AM Friday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born September 24, 1934 in Red Lion, a daughter of the late Harold C. and Anna R. (Barley) Sliver, she was a 1952 graduate of Red Lion Area High School. Gloria Dean retired from Autokraft Box Corp. after 35 years of service. As a young adult, Gloria Dean sang on WGCB radio and she was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where she sang in the Church choir. Mrs. Henshaw was also a member of Red Lion American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Eight and Forty Organization, Red Lion Guild to Memorial Hospital, ladies bowling league at Lion Bowling Center, and enjoyed playing bingo. Mrs. Henshaw is survived by four sons, William C. Henshaw of Dallastown, Brian D. and wife Ann Henshaw of Dover, Brent A. Henshaw and Brad D. Henshaw both of Red Lion; a daughter, Connie M. Henshaw of Dallastown; six grandchildren, Michael Coleman, Jr., William Henshaw, II, Aaron, Robert, Patrick, and Alexa Henshaw; three great grandchildren, William Henshaw, III, Oliver Henshaw and Gracie Eaton; a brother, Galen D. Sliver of Seven Valleys; and a sister, Deanna J. Eberly of Red Lion. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carla A. Henshaw; and two brothers, Samuel C. Baker and James F. Sliver.
