Gloria Anne (Bailey) Stahle

YORK - Gloria A. Stahle, 81 of Fawn Grove passed away Friday June 27, 2014 following a brief illness. Gloria was born October 16, 1932, in Easton MD. She was married to the late Sheldon L. Stahle Sr. for nearly 61 years, daughter to Winford C. and Avalon C. Bailey, deceased; and one sister Janice F. Lane deceased. She leaves behind five children; Sheldon L. Stahle, Jr., his wife Brenda of York, PA; Timothy L. Stahle, his wife Tobie of Dover, PA; Kathy J. Taylor, her husband Bill of York PA; Joyce McGinley wife of Joe, Lehighton, PA; and Elizabeth D. Rittenhouse, her husband Randy of Beachwood, New Jersey; 18 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren; and a dear friend, Dan Amspacher. Gloria received a scholarship and studied voice at Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, MD. Our beautiful, clever, fun loving mother loved and cherished her family. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church. She loved Ancient Hebrew and Egyptian history and was a serious student of the Old Testament, and the book of Revelation. She embraced life with zest and was a unique and creative free spirit who is and will be deeply missed. Funeral services will be at Grace United Methodist Church, 473 Plank Rd., New Freedom, PA on Wednesday July 2, 2014 at 2PM. Services will be officiated by Gloria's grandson Pastor Jeffery Slemp of Grace United Methodist Church and Pastor Rand of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of York. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of the arrangements.
