TROY- Glenna (Tedesco) Twarkusky, 81, of Columbia Cross Roads, PA went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 8, 2012. She is the wife of the late Joseph Twarkusky who passed away on May 6, 1994. The couple married in January of 1960 and had 34 happy years together. Family and friends are welcome to call from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA. The funeral service to honor Glenna’s life will follow the viewing at 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 11th at the funeral home with her pastor, Rev. Chris Nauta officiating. The graveside committal service and burial will take place at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 15, 2012 at Princeton Memorial Park, 403 Gordon Road Robbinsville, NJ 08691. Glenna was born on June 16, 1931 in Forest City, PA, daughter of the late Emil and Georgia (Rogers) Tedesco. She was a pharmacy clerk for Silk’s Pharmacy in Trenton, NJ until her retirement in 1995 after 13 years of service. Glenna was a member of the Columbia Cross Roads United Methodist Church and was a former member of St. Mark United Methodist Church in New Jersey. She was a member of the Bowling 500 Club, both locally and nationally, and bowled in numerous leagues in New Jersey. She was also a member of the DAV Auxiliary Joseph McNerney Chapter, and was a former member of the Lou Gehrig Ladies Auxiliary. Glenna is survived by her children: Virginia (Joseph) Campioni of Berlin, MD, Joseph G. (Tracy) Twarkusky of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, her granddaughters: Jennifer, Deanna, Sara, and Haley, five great grandchildren, her sisters Emelia (Robert) Tomko of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, and Martha Vincent of Wysox, PA, her brother Emil E. (Eilene) Tedesco of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, along with several nieces and nephews. Glenna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph, and her sister Eunice Brecht. Memorial contributions may be made in Glenna’s memory to the Columbia Cross Roads United Methodist Church 6700 Austinville Road Columbia Cross Roads, PA 16914.
