Glenn W. 'Mule' Apgar

Wellsburg, NY - Glenn W. 'Mule' Apgar, Age 64 of Elston Hollow, Elmira, NY died November 7, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital following a brief illness. Glenn was born in Dryden, New York on October 23, 1948 son of the late Kenneth William and Helen Marie (Stedman) Apgar. He attended local schools and later entered the US Navy where he served during the Viet Nam War from 1967 to 1969. Following his discharge from the Navy he worked for many local trucking firms Include Daily Trucking and later was a self employed truck driver. Glenn had always liked a good party and enjoyed his family and many friends. Survivors include a son Kenneth W. Apgar of St. Matthews, SC, a daughter Margie Rena Green of Wilmington, NC, five grandchildren, brothers, Kenneth A. Apgar of Dryden, NY, Perry Apgar of Orangeburg, SC and Lonnie Apgar of Orangeburg, SC, sisters, Verla Fletcher of Topeka, KS, Phyllis Dains of Homer, NY, Leah Gordon of Topeka, KS and Vivian Guthrie of Mt. Orin, OH. Glenn is also survived by his former wife Sandy D'Antonio. Glenn’s wishes were for services to be private.
