FELTON- Glenn A. “Farmer” Shaull, 89 of Chanceford Township, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024 at his residence. He was the husband of Nancy Y. (Kilgore) Shaull. The couple celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on March 4, 2024.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 3pm on October 27, 2024 at St. James Lutheran Church, 2335 Cramer Rd. in Brogue, with a visitation from 1-3 pm. His pastor, The Reverend Kathleen Kuehl will be officiating at the service. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is assisting with the arrangements.
Farmer was born in Red Lion on May 15, 1935, a son of the late Charles and E. Elizabeth (Miller) Shaull. He was a farmer since he was a child. In the off season, he worked for Paul Neely’s and Flinchbaugh Products.
Mr. Shaull was a life member of St. James Lutheran Church in Brogue, where he helped to dig out the foundation for the building’s addition. He played fast pitch baseball in the church league. He was also a lifetime Baltimore Orioles fan. You could find him most days at the morning convention at the Brogue General Store. He served in the US Army, briefly until his father’s passing when he was excused to work on the family farm.
Along with his wife, Farmer leaves two sons, Mark Shaull (Amanda), Troy Shaull (Christine); a daughter, Jennifer Gunnet (Michael); five grandchildren, Aidan Shaull, Scott Gunnet (Trudy), Beth Leppo (David), Tyler Shaull (Trinda), Derek Shaull (Morgan); five great grandchildren, Lance Gunnet, Jenna Gunnet, Brayden Warner, Kendall Erk, and Lawrence Shaull. Also surviving is a sister, Olive Brown and a brother, Reed Shaull as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Arthur Shaull, Carl Shaull, and Denton Shaull and two sisters, Erma Eveler and Beulah Strayer.
