Glenn L. Gindlesperger

YORK - Glenn L. Gindlesperger, 87, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 at York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Doris M. (Kline) Gindlesperger to whom he was married to for 48 years. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11AM Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 10-11AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Jacob’s Union Cemetery. Mr. Gindlesperger was born in November of 1930 in Dallastown. He was a son of the late Ross W. and Loretta M. (Floyd) Gindlesperger. Glenn retired from the ESAB Group as a welder. Mr. Gindlesperger attended First Assembly of God and was a former member of St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church in York New Salem and Christ Lutheran Church in Dallastown. He was an avid Orioles and Penn State fan. Glenn also enjoyed bird watching and completing crossword puzzles. Glenn is survived by two daughters; Elaine M. Hensel of York and Barbara L. Gindlesperger of Austin, TX, seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a son, Randall A. Sowards; a daughter, Sheree M. Browne; and a brother, Ray Gindlesperger.
