Stewartstown—Glenn F. Flaharty, 83, passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 at his residence in Stewartstown Borough. He was the husband of Nadine (Fix) Flaharty to whom he was married for 62 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be private at the convenience of the family. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born December 9, 1933 in Brogueville, he was the son of Sylva E. Flaharty. He was employed as a truck driver with various companies in York County. A member of the Stewartstown V.F.W and American Legion, he also liked to hunt, fish and watch NASCAR. He enjoyed going to yard sales and buying, fixing and reselling used lawn mowers and tractors. In addition to his wife, Mr. Flaharty is also survived by three children, Debra A. Meadowcroft of Freeland, MD, Chrystal E. Konrad of Red Lion and Gregory A. Flaharty (Helen) of Manchester; four grandchildren, Lindsay (CJ), Kody, Ryan and Shawn; three great grandchildren, Dylan, Maddie, McKenize; two sisters, Sharon Smeltzer and Sandy Eckert (Tim) and nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses of Hospice & Community Care for all their dedicated care and to Pastor Keith Braucher for his visits and prayers.
