Glenda M. (Webb) Wanker

WINDSOR- Glenda M. (Webb) Wanker, 74, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late John Joseph Wanker. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 10 AM on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with her Pastor, The Reverend Rodney T. Stamper officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 6-8 PM and Friday from 9-10 AM at the funeral home. Inurnment will be private in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born July 26, 1942 in Swords Creek, VA, Glenda was a daughter of the late Elmer and Gladys (Dye) Webb. Glenda loved roses, and enjoyed growing them in her garden. She liked being at the beach and out in the sun. She had a passion for music of all sorts, but her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Wanker is survived by four sons, Craig Smith and his wife Sandy of Airville, Curtis Smith and his wife Kay of Red Lion, Scott Smith and his wife Susan of Kentucky, and Doug Smith and his wife Stella of Texas; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, P. Michael Webb and his wife Donna of Brogue, and David Webb and his wife Natalie of Brogue; four sisters, Judy Kilgore of Brogue, Hazel Cooper and her husband John of Brogue, Delcia Runkle and her husband Wayne of Brogue, and Cindy Grove and her husband Donald of Red Lion, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Glenda was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie and Larry; two sisters, Dolores and Evelyn; a sister-in-law, Linda Webb, and two brothers-in-law, Charles Kilgore and Ned Burk. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Baptist Church, PO Box 306, Airville, PA 17302-0306.
