Glen L. Jelliff, On the evening of February 1, 2011 Glen left his earthly home to join his daughter and granddaughter in heaven with their lord and savior Jesus Christ. Glen was born August 29, 1921 in Bentley Creek son of the late Clinton & Edith (Fero) Jelliff. He attended area schools and owned and operated Glens Garage in Bentley Creek until his retirement. He married the former Cora Lucile Wakley on July 2, 1941. Glen and Lucile enjoyed 69 years together. He was a member of the Athens Wesleyan Church and past member of the Berrytown and Bentley Creek Wesleyan Churches. Glen was a Charter member of the Ridgebury Fire Department. He loved to travel and was a member of the Mountain Laurel Camping Club he and Lucile visited all lower 48 states in their motor home. Glen loved to sing and had a wonderful tenor voice. Survivors include his wife Lucille Jelliff of Gillett, children, Leland G. & Roberta Jelliff of Bentley Creek, Sharon L. & Reverend Dan Orshaw of Smyrna, DE, Karen E. & Lynn Warner of Bentley Creek, seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, special nieces, Carolyn & Bonnie, best friends Neal & Cathy Halstead of Ridgebury, son-in-law, Ernest Baker of Wellsburg, brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harold & Helen Wakley of E. Smithfield, Ruth Jelliff of W. Burlington, Mary Soper of Big Pond, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Glen was predeceased by a daughter Thelma Jean Baker, granddaughter, Michele Dunkerley and his brother Chester Jelliff. Family and friends are invited to call Friday, February 4, 2011 from 6 to 8 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY and again on Saturday, February 5, 2011 from 10 to 11 AM at the Athens Wesleyan Church, Wilawana Road, Sayre, PA. His service will be held Saturday at the conclusion of calling hours at 11 AM with Pastor David Larson officiating. Interment will be in the spring in Bentley Creek Cemetery. Memorials are directed to the Athens Wesleyan Church, Tri-Town Ambulance or to the Ridgebury Volunteer Fire Department. Send condolences to BestLifeTributes.com
