Gladys L. (Carter) Bartlett

MILTON - Gladys L. (Carter) Bartlett, 83, died Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Loyalsock Creek Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Montoursville. She was born in Lewisburg on December 9, 1933 and was the daughter of the late John and Marry (Hitchen) Carter. In 1949 Gladys married the late Howard W. Fausey and they were married for 25 years until his death in 1974. On October 19, 1975 Gladys married the late Leroy F. “Bing” Bartlett and they celebrated 37 years of marriage together until his death on April 7, 2010. Gladys’s companion Wayne Flick survives. She is a past member of the Deliverance Chapel, New Columbia and enjoyed watching animals and going out to eat. She was employed through the Montgomery Area School District and retired in 1996. In addition to her companion, Gladys is survived by one daughter; Sherry L. Schleig and her companion Clifford L. Lloyd both of Williamsport, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. In addition to her first and second husbands, Gladys was preceded in death by one son; Howard Jeffery Fausey, one great granddaughter; Paige and many brothers and sisters. A public viewing will be held from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m., Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton and again from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 6, 2017 followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Butch Woolsey of Church of New Life, Mifflinburg officiating. Burial will take place following in Fairview Cemetery, Montgomery.
