Gladys Hope Flanigan

BRANFORD, CT - Gladys Hope (Barner) Flanigan, 76, a former Loganton resident died Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Branford Hospice. She was born September 7, 1941 in Lock Haven a daughter of the late Floyd and Genevieve J. (Miller) Barner. Gladys was a registered nurse for Arthur Taub, MD, PhD, P.C. in New Haven, CT for 20 years retiring in 1984. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Tylersville. Gladys was a member of the American Nurses Association, American Academy of Physicians Assistants. She was an avid reader, needlework artist, doll and Harmony Kingdom collector. Surviving are a daughter; Hope Anne Flanigan of East Haven, CT. Two brothers Douglas Barner and Kim Barner both of Loganton also two sisters Joan Boone of Loganton and Leesa Zettle of Ocala, FL. She was preceded in death by a brother Dennis Barner. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Pastor Dan Reed officiating. Friends and relatives will be received from 1:30 - 2:00 P.M. at the funeral chapel. Private family interment will be at Tylersville Cemetery.
