Gertrude (Zelinsky) Hufford

WILKES-BARRE-Gertrude Hufford, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Thursday morning at Hospice Community Care, Dunmore. Born in Exeter, she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Gertrude Zelinsky and was a graduate of Exeter High School. She was a former member of St. Casimir's Church. Prior to retiring, Gertrude was employed by Midland Bank. Prior to that, she was employed by United Penn Bank. She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Hufford, who passed away in 1990. A brother, John "Jack" Zelinsky and sister, Eleanor Fanti, also preceded her in death. Surviving is a niece, Carolee Marmo, Philadelphia; nephew, Lee Fanti, Reisterstown, MD; two great nieces and three great nephews. A service will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. The Reverend J. Duane Gavitt will officiate.
