Gertrude Anna Trudy" (Ehmann) Maurer

Jacobus- Gertrude Anna "Trudy" (Ehmann) Maurer died Saturday, July 7, 2007 at Rest Haven in York, just 11 days before her 90th birthday. She was the beloved wife of Eddie F. Maurer who preceded her in death on December 20, 1987. Trudy was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 18, 1917, a daughter of the late Otto F. and Clara (Jordan) Ehmann. Trudy and Eddie lived in Queens, NY and retired to Crestwood Village, Whiting, NJ. After Eddie's passing, Trudy moved to Jacobus to be near her family. She was a member of the Jacobus Leisure Club and was the oldest member of the Jacobus Area Lioness Club. Trudy became a resident of Country Meadows of Leader Heights in 2004 until she was transferred to Rest Haven in January of 2007. Trudy is survived by her only child, daughter, Lorraine (Lorry) McClain and her son-in-law, Kenneth G. McClain, Jr. of Jacobus; her much beloved granddaughters: Michelle (McClain) Osman of Manchester and Jennifer McClain of Jacobus; and her much adored great granddaughter, Elaine Katherine McClain-Rowe. Viewing will be from 1-3 p.m. and 6-7p.m. on Wednesday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York with a Celebration of Life Service at 7 p.m. Interment will be private, next to her beloved husband in Whiting, NJ.
