Geraldine (Wilson) Morrow

HANOVER TOWNSHIP-Geraldine "Jerry" Morrow of Hanover Township passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at her home. Born in Plymouth, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Wilson and a graduate of Hanover High School. After graduation, she was employed at Penn Tobacco. During WWII, she worked as a riveter at Penn Metal. She was employed in the bookkeeping department of Jimmy the Jeweler in Nanticoke and later Sea Isle Sportswear in Wilkes-Barre. After 6 years at JC Penney in the Wyoming Valley Mall, Geraldine worked in the handbag department at Boscov's in Wilkes-Barre from 1980-1994, then in Scranton until 2001. Geraldine was a member of St. Aloysius Church, and an active volunteer at St. Aloysius School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter (Ace) Morrow in 1993. Surviving are her children, Eileen, Glassboro, NJ; Thomas, and Trish, both of Hanover Twp; grandchildren, Ashley, Michael, and Christopher; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 AM Saturday from the Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home Inc, 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Aloysius Church, Division Street, Wilkes-Barre. Father Joseph Sica will officiate. Interment will follow in Hanover Green Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
