Dover—Geraldine (Oxford) Miller, 75, died Friday, November 13, 2009 at her residence in Dover Township. She was the wife of James H. Miller to whom she was married for 56 years. A celebration of life service will be 7 p.m., Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc, 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, with the Rev. John M. Harman of Friendship Community Church in Dover, officiating. A viewing will be from 6 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral chapel. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Born April 13, 1934 in Neosho, Missouri, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Belle (Rentfro) Oxford. She was employed as a production worker for several years with Yorktown Ice Cream and later with Green's Dairy. After her employment with Yorktown Ice Cream and Green's Dairy, she worked for Wal-Mart in their fabric/crafts department. She enjoyed crafts, reading and traveling to the shore, especially trips to Wildwood, NJ. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Miller is also survived by three children, Diane C. Miller of Jonestown, Scott A. Miller of Conewago Twp., and Beth M. Walker of W. York, 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, 4 sisters and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 1 sister and 2 brothers. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Patient Help Fund, 25 Monument Rd, Suite 194, York, Pa 17403.
