Geraldine Mae (Killian) Sweitzer

DOVER – Geraldine M. (Killian) Sweitzer, 72, passed away Monday, October 8, 2012 at her home. She was the wife of the late Robert H. Sweitzer, Sr. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York. Viewings will be held from 6-8:00 PM Wednesday and 9-10:00 AM Thursday at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in St. Paul (Zeigler’s) Cemetery. Born November 24, 1939 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Harold M. and Thelma M. (Beecher) Killian, she retired from United Food Workers Union Local 56 after 26 years of service and had also been a member of Amalgamated Meat Cutter’s Union. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Mrs. Sweitzer is survived by two sons, Brian K. and wife Shonna Nace and David L. and wife Kristal Nace all of York; two daughters, Donna J. and husband John Cataldi of Dover and Lori A. and husband David Stover of York; seven grandchildren, Joshua and Michael Nace, Adam and Andrew Cataldi, Erik and Kristopher Nace, and Cody Gemmill; eight great grandchildren; and a brother, Harold M. Killian of Mt. Joy. She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald M. Killian.
