Geraldine M. Bonner

LEWISBERRY- Geraldine M. “Gerry” (Peifer) Bonner, 95, of Fairview Township, passed away Friday, January 29, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Robert N. Bonner. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street in Lewisberry, with a viewing from 1-2 p.m. Chaplain Roger Smith will be officiating at the service followed by burial at Emmanuel Cemetery in Lewisberry. Mrs. Bonner was born in Susquehanna, Dauphin County, PA on August 10, 1920, the daughter of the late W. Harry and Flora (Ibaugh) Peifer. She resided at Silver Lake Farm with her husband since 1945. Mrs. Bonner was active in church activities for years including, being an organist, Youth Director, and Sunday school teacher. She and her husband enjoyed farming including market and selling produce at the farm. She had many interests including reading, gardening, painting, crocheting, sewing, and writing poetry, but her greatest passion was her family. She leaves two daughters, Jean M. Lambert and her husband Richard of Lewisberry and Doris R. Clark and her husband Howard of New Cumberland,; three grandchildren Pamela Porter and her husband James of Camp Hill, Jeffrey Clark and his wife Alisa of Lewisberry, and Kelly Tobin of Lewisberry; five great grandchildren: Matt Porter, Ashley Porter, Casey Clark, Kyle Clark, and Lauren Tobin; a great, great granddaughter, Jillian Porter, and a brother, Ernest Peifer of Lewisberry. She also leaves her brother-in-law, Charles Bonner; three step-children, Jeffrey Lambert and his wife Jennifer; Amy Garcia and her husband Emilio, and Jennifer Pacana, all of York Springs; and four step grandchildren, Paige Lambert, Emma Lambert, Emilio Garcia, and Richard Pacana, III. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Diane Marshall and her brother Marlin Peifer.
