RED LION- Geraldine Fern (Wentworth) Heiserman, 95, entered the gates of heaven to be with her Savior at 10 p.m. on December 17, 2018 at her daughter’s residence. She was the wife of the late Harry J. Heiserman to whom she was married for 53 years. Born on January 6, 1923 in Franklin, PA she was the daughter of the late Homer A. and Margaret E. (Porter) Wentworth. Geraldine served in the Army’s WAC’s in World War II. Prior to retirement she worked at Shiney Bright, Tioga Textiles and delivered mail for the Red Lion Post Office. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and word search puzzles. Mrs. Heiserman is survived by two daughters, Judith A. Umphred and her husband, Lonny of York Haven and Tawni L. Gerfertz and husband Robert of Red Lion; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; niece, Ermajo Bonilla of Glendale, AZ; nephew, Martin Lee Wentworth of Franklin; and son in law, Merle Krebs of Dallastown; She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Krebs; son, William J. Heiserman; brother, John A. Wentworth; grandson, Timothy W. Heiserman; and great grandson, Dakota Kieffer. From the family we will cherish the memories you gave us. We were blessed to have you “Granny”. Granny got so much joy from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. We will miss you. There are no services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity of choice.
