RENOVO - Gerald Stout, Jr., 74, died Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Williamsport Regional Medical Center. He was born in Renovo on May 26, 1940 and was the son of the late Gerald M. and Mildred Lavada (Summerson) Stout. On June 20, 1964, Gerald married the love of his life, Donna M. (Pierce) who survives and this year they celebrated 50 years of marriage together. After getting married, Gerald enlisted and served his country in the Army. He owned and operated the Green Lantern Restaurant in Renovo for 28 years. Gerald was a member of Sunset Memorial Church of Tamarack and he enjoyed shooting darts, hunting, fishing, playing the PA Lottery, gardening, watching the Phillies, Penn State Football and old western movies but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his wife Donna, Gerald is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Gerald E. and Paula Stout, of Houston TX, two daughters; Karen and Heather Stout, both of Renovo, two grandchildren; Trevor and Evan Stout, four brothers; Ralph Summerson, Kim Stout, Wayne Stout and George Stout along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by one brother; Gilbert Stout and one sister; Cora Belle Fantaskey. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 613 Baltimore Drive, Suite 3, Wilkes-Berre, PA 18702. A memorial service will be held 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the Sunset Memorial Church, Tamarack, 22 Larsens Ln, Renovo, PA 17764 with the Reverend Mahlon Nevel officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, Renovo, PA 17764.
