Gerald C. Latshaw, Sr.

DOVER- Gerald C. Latshaw, Sr., 77, of Dover Township, died Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at York Hospital. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a viewing from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York. Mr. Latshaw was born in New Paris, PA on August 16, 1935, the son of the late Clayton H. Latshaw and Geraldine R. (Messersmith) Latshaw Kring. He retired after 34 years in 1998 from BMY now BAE Systems in Spring Grove. Mr. Latshaw was a 1953 Graduate of Napier Township High School in Shellsburg, PA and served in the US Army. Mr. Latshaw leaves a son, Gerald C. Latshaw, II of Hellam; two daughters, Elizabeth R. Latshaw of Hellam, and Rebecca I. Latshaw Carlyle of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Ashley E. Latshaw, Juan C. Latshaw, and Gerald C. Latshaw, III; a great granddaughter, Grace Elizabeth Brittain; a brother, Harry Latshaw of York; and a sister, Marjorie Beegle of Bedford, PA.
