TROY - Gerald “Butch” Dunbar Age 67, of Fallbrook Road Troy passed away peacefully at Robert Packer Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born March 1, 1946 he was the son of the late Frank and Beatrice (LaMont) Dunbar. Butch grew up in East Troy and married his loving wife the former Marjorie “Marge” (Jennings) Dunbar on March 5, 1965. After running the family dairy farm for 25 years, Butch retired and they sold the farm and bought a new house. In 1990 Butch suffered a debilitating stroke and became disabled. Although he had such disabilities it didn’t stop his passion for life and his family. He enjoyed many trips through the years. He was a member of the East Troy Baptist Church and was a Lifetime Member of the Troy Rod & Gun Club. Family and friends are invited to call from 1 to 2 PM Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. Butch’s funeral will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 2:00 PM with Reverend Garry Zuber of the East Troy Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Troy. Survivors include his loving wife Marge Dunbar of Troy, daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Darryl Holdren of Troy, Jennifer L. and Robert Spencer of Elmira, NY, grandsons, Marty, Dean and D.J. Holdren all of Troy, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Robert Ward of FL, Diane and John Gummoe of Rochester, NY, brothers and sisters-in-law, Pat and Joe Stout of Athens, Donald and Barbara Jennings of Canton, Mary Lou Anderson of Troy, Edith Franklin of Troy Jennie and John Cook of Rome, several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive Butch. He is predeceased by his parents Frank and Beatrice Dunbar and his mother and father-in-law, Donald and Geraldine Jennings. In lieu of flowers those wishing to make memorial donations may donate to the East Troy Baptist Church Good Samaritan Fund, P.O. Box 21, Troy, PA 16947.
