Gerald A. Dally

DOVER- Gerald A. Dally, 75, passed away on Thursday, July 07, 2011 at his residence. He was the husband of Janet L. (Singer) Dally. The couple planned to celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary on September 22. Services for Mr. Dally are private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Dally was born on February 10, 1936 in Bangor, PA, a son of the late Albert J. and Julia (Sisolak) Dally. Gerald worked as a salesman for BB Appliance and later Shea Hardware until his retirement in 1995. Mr. Dally was a 1955 graduate of Bangor High School where he was an outstanding football player. Gerald enjoyed participating in the York County Senior Games, cruises on the Royal Caribbean, and was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan. He was one of the original organizers of the Bangor Little League. Over the years, Gerald and his wife hosted many foster children. Most importantly, he loved his children and grandchildren. Along with his wife, Janet, Mr. Dally is survived by three sons, Anthony J. Dally and his wife Kelly of Boise,ID, Kevin D. Dally and his friend, Michelle of Lehighton, PA and Glenn A. Dally and his wife, Andrea of Katy, TX; one daughter, Pamela M. Heffley and her husband, Dean of Dover; 13 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, Ronald Dally of Nazareth, PA; two sisters, Joan Sharp and her husband, William of Williamstown, NJ and Kay Fraunfelter and her husband, Kenneth of Bangor; two brother in laws, Ray Singer and his wife, Alice and Richard Singer and his wife, Joan; and many friends, nieces and nephews.
