ETTERS - George W. Nauss, 82, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2012 at Holy Spirit Hospital. He was the husband of Marie Nauss. The couple had been married for 62 years. A viewing will be from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, 305 W. Front St., Lewisberry. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Goldsboro Church of God, 103 West Broadway, Etters with Reverend Wayne E. Gosnell and Pastor Dan Blank officiating. Burial will be in Bainbridge Cemetery, Bainbridge, Pa. Born on August 31, 1929, George was a son of the late Charles E. and Lydia (Mead) Nauss. Mr. Nauss was a coordinator for Armstrong World Industries in Marietta, Pa until his retirement in 1991. Mr. Nauss was a member of Goldsboro Church of God and a former member of Reich’s Evangelical Congregational Church, where he sang in the choir. George was a Cub Scout Master, and volunteered for meals on wheels, Maytown Foodbank, and the Hurricane Andrew relief in Florida. He enjoyed buying and selling antiques, as well as watching sporting events Along with his wife, Marie, George is survived by a son, Dennis L. Nauss and his wife, Jeannine of Omaha, NE; a daughter, Victoria M. Howell of Etters; five grandchildren, Stephanie Overell, Jaqueline Nauss, Tracy Stauffer, Victoria Howell and Tyler Howell; seven great grandchildren; and a sister, Mildred Dohner. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard G. Nauss; three brothers; and four sisters.
