LEWISBERRY - George S. Crittendon, 55, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2012 at his daughter’s residence in Spring Grove. He was the husband of Keran L. (Martz) Crittendon. The couple planned to celebrate their 32nd wedding anniversary on December 13th. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, 305 W. Front St., Lewisberry, with Pastor Ron Smith officiating. A visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery. Born on August 8, 1957 in Newport News, VA, he was the son of the late George S. and Cuba M. (Grove) Crittendon, Sr. George was a toolmaker for Komax Solar, Inc. and also worked part time as a butcher for Karns Foods. Mr. Crittendon was a member of Christian Life Assembly in Camp Hill. George enjoyed hunting, fishing, butchering, gardening and cooking. Along with his wife, Keran, Mr. Crittendon is survived by one son, Randy K. Leach and his companion, Brandi Uber of Enola; one daughter, Jennifer L. Miller and her husband, Daniel of Spring Grove; seven grandchildren, Kaylena M. Miller, Timothy J. Miller, Jr., Jordyn M. Miller, Brook J. Uber-Leach, Bradin K. Uber-Leach, Isebella M. Miller and Brant J. Uber; one great granddaughter, Avonna L. Miller; one sister, Linda Dale McBride and her husband, Robert of Lumberton, N.C.; and two nephews, Robert McBride and Doug McBride, both of Lumberton, N.C. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924 N. Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403 or Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
