George R. Miller

George R. Miller, 79, of Dundee, FL passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Haines City Health Care in Haines City FL. He was the loving husband of Doris E. (MacKenzie) Miller. The couple married April 20, 1974 and had 35 happy years together. George was born on September 15, 1930, son of the late Ernest and Nellie (Farrell) Miller. He served his country in the US Naval Reserves and was a plumber by trade. George was also a member of the Barnard Fire Department and Ambulance Corps. George is survived by his wife Doris, his son Ernest (Laura) Miller of Riverside, CA, his daughter Dolores (Edward) Malchoff of Williamson, NY, his step-son Jeffery (Karen) MacKenzie of Webster, NY, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister and brother-in-law Doris and Warren Leifer, as well as his first wife Jeannie Miller. A graveside service to honor George's life will be held 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the Ashland Cemetery, Terrace Street, Wellsburg, NY. The Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY has been entrusted with the arrangements.
