George L. Book

YORK HAVEN- George L. Book, 50, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2010 at his residence after a long battle with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. A visitation celebrating the life of George will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, 305 West Front St., Lewisberry, PA 17339. Mr. Book was born on February 12, 1960 in Harrisburg, a son of the late Donald J. and Carolyn B. (Decker)Book. George worked for almost 30 years for General Dynamics, formerly Flinchbaughs, Olin, Primex, etc. until becoming disabled. Georges favorite pastime was fishing with his son, Travis, which he did as often as possible. George also leaves behind a daughter, Destiny, with her mother; three older siblings, Carol (Book) Garber and her husband, Barry, James Book and his companion, Annette and Cynthia (Book) Pickert and her husband, Chuck; seven nieces and nephews, Heather, Brandon, Donald, Kayla, Taylor, Adam and Molly; and a multitude of beloved family members. He was preceded in death not only by his parents but also by his son, Joshua.
