George E. Jacobs, Sr.

FAIRVIEW TOWNSHIP- George E. Jacobs, Sr., 80, of Lewisberry, passed away, Saturday, May 26, 2007 at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill. He was the husband of Sarah E. (Buffington) Jacobs. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11a.m. on Wednesday at Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 W. Front Street in Lewisberry, with a viewing from 10-11 a.m. The Reverend Larry L. Billet will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Tri-County Memorial Gardens. Mr. Jacobs was born in Mechanicsburg on January 9, 1927, a son of the late Charles and Annie (Elicker) Jacobs. He retired as an Auto Mechanic and taught at the Camp Hill Prison. He attended Lisburn Church of God. Mr. Jacobs leaves five sons: Paul of Missouri, Donald of East Berlin, Ralph of Dillsburg, and James and George, Jr. both of Harrisburg; six daughters: Jean Crone of Dover, Carolyn Zimmerman of Manchester, Pattie Hunson of Windsor, Sally Reiser of Florida, Barbara Jacobs of Harrisburg, and Joan Jacobs of Lewisberry, 15 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and three sisters.
