George C. Hess

POTTSVILLE - George C. Hess, 69 of Schuylkill Haven, died Wednesday May 4th at the Schuylkill Medical Center, South Jackson St., Pottsville. He was born in Pottsville on August 1, 1941, the son of the late Carl and Emily Harris Hess. Until retiring George worked for Cressona Knit. He spent part of his life living in California. Surviving George are: a sister, Helen and her husband Bernard Wise, Bernville; a niece; a nephew; seven great nieces and nephews; and several cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Hess. Funeral services will be private, held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Schuylkill Haven Union Cemetery. The Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & W. Market St., Pottsville is handling the arrangements.
