Genevieve E. (Dill) Taylor, 84, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at Misericordia Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Donald R. Taylor, Sr. whom she married on September 9, 1950. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at St. Luke Lutheran Church Cemetery, 2666 Furnace Road, Felton, with Reverend Thomas R. Osenbach officiating. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born January 20, 1932 in Chanceford, a daughter of the late Charles A. and Dorothy S. (Anderson) Dill. She was a 1950 graduate of Red Lion Senior High School. Mrs. Taylor worked at Midway Super Thrift for nearly 30 years until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, family trips, collecting glassware, crocheting, planting flower beds, and making the holiday season special for her family. Mrs. Taylor is survived by a son, Donald R. Taylor, Jr. of Manchester; two daughters, Gwendolyn D. and husband Jesse J. Smith of Felton and Deborah L. Witmer and husband James Moul of Frederickurg, VA; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joan Grove of Red Lion. She is preceded in death by a brother, Charles Dill. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 3417 Concord Road, Suite C, York, PA 17402. Our family would like to express a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Misericordia Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and Heartland Hospice of York for their exceptional care given to Genevieve.
